Of Barns and Bars at The Open Gate Farm

Dear Friends,

If you are planning to get a copy of our book, “Dear Friends”, to give for Christmas, this would be a good week to do so.  Plenty of copies are on hand and we will be home or can leave it up at the stand for you.

The reports back are that folks are really enjoying revisiting a wonderful year here at the farm, chuckling with the chickens, laughing with the ducks, digging with the dog, and watching with the cat as we worked our way from January to December last year.

So here is the report on what is available at The Open Gate Farm for this weekend…if you see anything you want, email us back either here or at jon@theopengatefarm.com and we’ll have it ready Saturday morning by 10:00 for you! (more…)

Wish Lists at The Open Gate Farm

Dear Friends,
Book launch and signing this Saturday, December 4th from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Snow Goose Bookstore in Stanwood!  Come on down!  A real party it will be.  We’re talking to the Parson Dudley Brown to see if he can make room on his calendar to join us for the fun.  Carolers will be singing next door to the store, Santa will be loose on the streets, the town tree lighting that evening across the street from the store…it can’t be more fun than all that!
In the meantime, if you want bread for the weekend, let us know and we’ll have it for you at 10 a.m. Saturday.  Same as always…$5.00 for a loaf of your choice, $2.50 for a cinnamon roll with a minimum of 6 rolls ($15), Olive Boats for $2.00 each, and cookies for $1 each if you order a dozen and tell us what kind you want.  Of course, “Dear Friends”, the book for $15.20 including tax is available too!  Just email us back and let us know your heart’s desire!
